A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to stop by the Sherwood Ice Arena during the President’s Cup Classic hockey tournament organized by the Portland Junior Hawks youth hockey association. The tournament is a Midget (U18) affair that draws a dozen teams from up and down the west coast. The game I saw featured the Langley (B.C.) A-2 Eagles against the North Shore Winter Club Winterhawks of North Vancouver, B.C. The game ended tied at 3.
