Hanging out in Vancouver

Vancouver, B.C.Yep, Perrie and I are in Vancouver right now. No, not the one in Washington, that wouldn’t be worth a posting any more than being in Beaverton. We’re in the real Vancouver, in British Columbia.

Amtrak had a seat sale for their new service that runs directly from Portland to Vancouver (as opposed to the old route where you had to transfer to a bus at the border), so we bought tickets and booked a hotel for the weekend. The only item on the agenda: Tim Hortons.

Vancouver, B.C.We got that out of the way by 9 a.m., and spent the rest of the day (so far) wandering around downtown. We also took a short journey out to Queen Elizabeth Park which, among other attributes, has a statue of something we’ve all seen many many times (albeit without Perrie).

More adventures to come …

In my opinion, we couldn’t have spent our 24+ hours better in Vancouver…even the train trip there and back was relaxing and fun!
