Winter sets in

On New Year’s Day, with the local temperature hovering around -12°C (10°F) and wind chills around -22°C (-7°F), we thought it would be a good time to go out for a walk by Lake Erie. So we bundled up and headed out to the park at the end of N. Marginal Rd. by E. 55th. We didn’t see any snowy owls, but I’m sure they felt at home. Then we drove back to Burke Lakefront Airport, which is open pretty much all the time, to warm up and check out the International Women’s Air and Space Museum. It was super quiet—for a few minutes, I wondered if we were the only people in the terminal—but worth checking out if you’re in the area.
